PROJECT 2: AUGMENTING SPORT EXPERIENCES

This project is aimed to develop the first augmented reality (AR) based sport second screen sport application to enrich the viewing of live sport events. To make use of rapid developments within AR technology, students of the master and media innovation program came with the idea of a second screen AR live-sport application using the Microsoft Hololens. This idea, pitched in the ZIGGO industry case, is currently further developed towards a working prototype together with VodafoneZIGGO. Learnings from creating the project can be accessed here

A glimpse of the prototype developed among others with Sjors Thomassen, revealing trials in how to calibrate the holograms with the television and adding the possibility to change the positions and sizes of the holograms (menu’s) using hand gestures.
